Calvary Connect – October 2024
Hey Calvary Family,
We have remembered our purpose as a church over the past month, exploring themes of Gospel, Community, and Mission, culminating in our ultimate reason for existing: the glory of God! I pray all of what we give our lives to, both individually and together as a church, would be motivated by seeing and sharing in God’s Glory.
I have had the prophet’s Habakkuk promise on my mind this month especially:
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. –Habakkuk 2:14
As we gather in community this month, whether it’s the ladies brunch to celebrate the Goodness of God, or at the Abounding Grace marriage retreat, or learning how to have the ministry of Conflict and Reconciliation, or seeing Jesus in the Old Testament in our equipping classes may all of these opportunities fill our hearts with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord! And may we be pointing out His beauty, mercy, and perfections to one another and our friends that don’t know Jesus yet! Let’s Behold Him, as we Become like Him!
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
