Christmas at Calvary

• Thank God for sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to the world to be our Savior. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
• Praise God for fulfilling His promise of a Savior, showing His faithfulness through the birth of Jesus. “But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.” (Galatians 4:4-5)
• Thank God for Jesus, the Light of the World, who brings light to our darkness. “The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.” (John 1:9)
• Thank God for the joy and peace that comes through knowing Christ, the Prince of Peace, and pray for peace on earth. “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:14)
• Pray we would have opportunity and courage to share the hope of Jesus with others so they too would know the peace of Christ. “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; For you will go on before the Lord to prepare His ways; To give to His people the knowledge of salvation By the forgiveness of their sins…(Luke 1:76-77)
